- Once you open the Defender for Cloud page, it asks you to add it to your subscription and do that.
- After that, we need to enable to the plans, so it could monitor the resources. To do this, go under Management -> Environment settings

Now you need to enable for two different parts. The first is the Subscription you are using and second is the LAG. We need to enable for both because
- Subscription defines the resources you're monitoring, allowing Defender for Cloud to scan and assess security posture.
- Log Analytics Workspace provides the centralized storage for logs and telemetry data, which Defender for Cloud uses for analysis and threat detection.
In the Subscription, select it and enable all plans. As this is a free trial, it doesn't matter, but when you are paying, then you need to go on each and select which plans you will be using
In the LAG, select it and enable all plans too, but there is also a section called data collection. For this, select what type of data you want to be collected.
