To create an Azure VM that will act as an Honeypot, I chose to use the free trial that Azure offers

To find the Azure Vm in search menu on home page, you can search for Virtual Machines. I am using the first option

• Now for the different sections I used: You can use whatever you want for each like name

  • Basics

    • Resource Group: Honey
    • Virtual machine name: Honey2
    • Region: Canada Central
    • Image: Windows 10 pro
    • Size: Standard_DS1 **
    • Authentication Type: password
    • username: zach
    • password: Moffice365!!
    • Allow selected ports- RDP

  • Networking

    • Virtual network: honeypot1-vnet
    • Public IP: honeypot1-ip
    • NIC network security group: Advanced option
    • Configure network security group( create new): honeypot1-nsg

    

    When creating network security group, remove all inbound and change it so that it allows any, and priority is 100, so its at the top of the list.

• Now just click review + create and wait for deployment
